Register today for $30. Wait and pay $5 more.

Remember that tournament I told you about? Well, it’s $30 if you register today.

After that, it’s $35.

Signed up so far:
Cotey-Hajek (men’s 3.5 doubles)
Hajek-Spirakis (3.5 mixed doubles)
Spirakis-Bitting (women’s 3.0 doubles)

Grab a partner, send an email, make a few phone calls, sign up, let’s get this party started!

Hunter-Marisa mixed doubles? That’s a championship squad!
James Hann-JR Daws-Scott Jankes 3.0 doubles? Who wants some?
Jenna and Laura Baker at 4.0 doubles? Who’s going to stop that?
John Slatniske and Nini Torres at 3.5 mixed? Or for that matter Nini and Tom at 4.0? I’m engraving the trophy already!
Phuong and Sharon at 3.5 dubs? Janene and Cindy? Sharon and Cindy? Sharoung and Janendy? I’m overwhelmed by all the greatness!
Santiago and Chris Baker at 4.5? Puh-leeeeeeease.
The Cooleys in 3.5 mixed? If you don’t know now you do!

I’d like to play mixed with one of you all, but I have USTA Saturday morning and already have to request a later start and that might just be pushing it. But sign up, let’s go to the draw party Friday night and eat and drink, and let’s spend the weekend winning.

Remember, if you sign up, let me know, especially if you have a USTA match Saturday. The director said I can email him the list of us who would need a later start and he will try to accomodate us. Try, he said. But he sounded hopeful. Bigger the group, more willing he’d be I’d guess.

Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with this tournament. But I love tennis, and I love dogs, and I love weekend tournaments and the tee-shirts they give up and goodie bags and all that stuff. This could totally suck. Could be horribly organized. I could be totally overenthused. But whatevs. It’s how I do.

About johncotey

John was a sportswriter and columnist for the St. Petersburg/Tampa Bay Times for 25 years, before being pushed from the Titantic, and hopes all of you non-subscribers are happy reading your free news on the internets while his journalism brethren suffer. Not that he's not bitter or anything. His real true joys, however, are his wife, kids and tennis, though not necessarily in that order. Unless his wife is reading this. Then DEFINITELY in that order.
